They replace disposable pads, resulting in a much more sustainable and healthy option. They are reusable, they can be used up to 3 years, so they generate much less waste. They do not contain the chemicals in disposable pads that can cause itching, irritation and even infection.
Place the compress over the panties, fold the wings underneath and fasten the automatic. Use it as long as you need it.
When removing it, put it under the tap and rinse it with cold water, until the water stops running red. Rub the stains that are left with a mild soap, like this one. Rinse and leave them to soak until you are going to put it in the washing machine. You can leave all the compresses that you use in a basin of water to which you can add a few drops of essential tea tree oil or vinegar or salt. When your period ends, or before, if you need it, put the compresses in the washing machine with the rest of the clothes and wash with cold water.
It is not recommended to use fabric softener or Marseille-type soaps, as they can waterproof the compresses and reduce absorbency. It is also not recommended to use bleach, as it is very abrasive, or dryer, which can damage fabrics.
If there is any stain left after washing, let it dry in the sun to take advantage of its whitening effect.
They generate much less waste than disposable pads.
