You eliminate the use of plastic or aluminum wrapping, which has a very short shelf life in your home and can degrade in the environment for hundreds of years.

After using the wrap, clean it with a damp cloth if it's not too dirty. If necessary, rinse it with cold water and use mild soap for tough stains. Let it air dry before reusing. Its lifespan depends on how well it's cared for, but it can last up to a year if properly maintained. Avoid heat and don't cut on the wrap to avoid damaging the wax layer. At the end of its lifespan, you can reuse it as fabric or re-wax it.

If you want to throw it away, it is biodegradable and you can dispose of it in the compost or organics bin.

It is not recommended for use with meat and fish because it cannot be washed with hot water (as the beeswax would melt) or the odor or grease removed. For the same reason, the wrappingIt is also not suitable for microwave, oven or dishwasher., and things that are still hot should not be covered either.
