The bristles of the brush are made ofnylon, a petroleum derivative. Being a plastic material, it's the most sustainable option for proper straw care. It doesn't release residue inside. Its fibers are highly resistant and don't shed easily, so they don't generate microplastics that can get into the sink or dishwasher drain. We must also keep in mind that it's not a single-use plastic, which is the biggest problem, but a reusable one.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

After use,Wash the cutlery with soapy water. Wash the straw inside and out., using the brush to scrub the inside so that no residue remains.Let it air dry.

They can be washed in the dishwasher, but they will have less durability when spending more time in a humid and warm environment.
