But today, we also want to offer you two recipes made with essential oils so you can prepare your own mosquito spray and a remedy to soothe the discomfort once you've been bitten.
ANTI-MOSQUITO SPRAY
Ingredients
- 90 ml of water
- 50 drops of alcohol
- 20 drops of lemongrass essential oil
- 20 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- 20 drops of clove essential oil
Mix all the ingredients in a spray bottle. Apply to your body, clothing, or other surroundings when the sun is setting and mosquitoes are out.
Soothing Remedy for Mosquito Bites
Ingredients
- 25 ml of sweet almond oil (or any other vegetable oil )
- 3 drops of lemon essential oil
- 3 drops of basil essential oil
- 3 drops of tea tree essential oil
Mix all the ingredients in a dropper bottle. Apply it to the bites . It will relieve the itching and speed healing . Because it contains lemon essential oil, it's best to apply it at night , as it's photosensitive and can cause skin blemishes.
