Hello!

I'm Vir, and yes, I just turned 50. But don't be fooled by my age, because if there's one thing that characterizes me, it's the energy and passion with which I face everything.

I have always been one of those who take care of their own. My daughters, my husband, my family and my friends are my driving force, and it was because of them that I started this journey of looking for healthier and more natural alternatives. If something could improve our health, I tried it. If a conventional product was not good, I looked for natural options. If I could change a plastic for something more sustainable, I didn't hesitate.

That's how I came to AlmaEko, a project that was born in 2018 with the mission of offering natural and sustainable products. It was my trusted place, where I found everything I needed to take care of my health, my home and the environment. But in May, the owner told me that she was going to close or transfer the store and asked me if I wanted to take over. My first reaction was a resounding "no." I had never been an entrepreneur, I didn't know how to manage social media (nor had I ever made a story or a sad reel in my life), and at my age... this seemed crazy!

But there was my husband, Iñaki, reminding me of something essential: AlmaEko's purpose could not be forgotten. We both believe that every small gesture counts. Swapping a plastic scouring pad for a loofah, replacing conventional fabric softeners with vinegar, or choosing creams without chemicals and with natural ingredients are small actions, but with a great impact.

So in June 2024, I decided to take the plunge. Since then, I've been learning non-stop: social media, management, getting to know my community... and even losing my fear of being in front of the camera! Even though I'm a Virgo (and very demanding of myself), I'm learning to accept that I don't need to be perfect, just authentic.

This adventure is not easy. It requires time (a lot of it, only those who are self-employed and entrepreneurs will know what I'm talking about), challenges and many hours away from my daughters. But each message from you, each conscious purchase you make, confirms to me that this effort is worth it. I am here to accompany you, learn together and show that, with each small change, we can transform our environment.
